As a gamer who undoubtedly loves his games, I can understand the severe amount of patience needed when waiting for the latest releases to hit shops. While this might be a mellow issue to some, others just have a case of ‘I have to have it’ and will go to great lengths to get the game as soon as physically possible, even of it costs them $3450. That’s right you read that correctly, an eBay user is attempting to make a gigantic profit by selling copies of upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops II, offering both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.
If you’re a wealthy individual then you can purchase the game for the “Buy It Now” price of $3450, with a reserve price set at $500. Amazingly some users have already started to bid for the game, with $425 the highest so far. If you do outbid others or buy it straight away for the ridiculous price, then you will receive Black Ops II three days before the its official release on November 13th, which is no doubt the main selling point.
This isn’t the first time the seller has made a killing from selling games, just last year a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sold for a whopping $1725, with the buyer only receiving the game one day before its official release.
If you have the money and ain’t afraid to spend then start bidding, but if you’re like me and have a healthy routine of trading in games to get new ones, I suggest some sort of sport?
