Medal Of Honor Warfighter Gets Military Special Edition, Project Honor Is A Go

For troops fighting overseas, it takes an unrivaled amount of bravery to serve on the front line, our job back home is to support those fighting the fight. Electronic Arts is playing their part, teaming up with GovX and announcing a new initiative called Project Honor, which will see a special military edition of Medal Of Honor Warfighter available only to members of the U.S. military.

The military edition will sell exclusively through GovX Inc and will included many in-game items, as well as uniforms only exclusive to this version. And to help out those affected by the theater of war, a certain amount of proceeds will go to military outlets, GovX states:

A portion of GovX’s proceeds from Medal of Honor Warfighter Military Edition game sales will be donated to GovX military foundation partners, including the Air Force Association and AFA Veteran Benefits Association, Marine Corps Association & Foundation, and National Association for Uniformed Services, among others. In partnership with Electronic Arts, GovX will also contribute to the Navy SEAL Foundation and Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

Tony Farwell, President and a founder of GovX also had a few things to say about the team up with Electronic Arts on Warfighter, saying, “This is a uniquely exceptional video game, precisely the kind of game to lead the industry with a privileged Military Edition.” Medal Of Honor: Warfighter is heavy on the military camaraderie side and it makes sense to give back to the soldiers who gave to the development process of the game, for that Electronic Arts deserves a massive Hooah!

Medal Of Honor Warfighter Military Edition will be available to buy exclusively through the GovX website on October 23,2012, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

When not fighting crime, I dabble in the art of online journalism. Alright, maybe it's not as exciting as headbutting everyday felons like a modern Bruce Wayne, but I need something that doesn't involve bludgeoning something. Get my kicks playing on a fat 80gb PS3, really need an upgrade......and a shave.
