Modern Warfare 3 Face-Off Mode Coming To PlayStation 3 June 15th
Playstation 3 gamer’s better prepare for up close and personal firefight’s, as the free Face-Off mode for Modern Warfare 3 will be making its way to the system June 15th. The announcement was revealed by the Infinity Ward Twitter Page and will released with two free maps to get stuck straight into.
The new “Face Off” mode will see gamer’s battling it one-on-one , or two-on-two with a teammate, all on smaller unique sized maps that allow up close interactions with the enemy. You wont be empty-handed when the mode drops during the month, two free maps will also be included, free of charge. They should certainly keep you occupied until Content Collection 2 releases with two more Face-Off maps in the future.
The two free maps included are:
- Erosion: Make your way through Mediterranean ruins and ancient aqueducts, using leftover Roman masonry for thousand-year-old cover in this new “Face Off” map.
- Aground: Head to Scotland’s Orkney Islands for the latest “Face Off” map, where treacherous cliff faces, networks of caves and the rusted and ruined remains of a grounded transport ship provide for constant combat.
Two maps don’t seem like much, but in an industry were everything is mostly over-priced, getting some free content always goes down well. Even if a sign of generosity is something Activision doesn’t do very often, who are we to complain. See you PS3 players on June 15th.
