Grand Theft Auto V And Next Call Of Duty To Account For A Third Of All Game Sales This Year?
If we are to believe a new report by US-based financial analyst Baird Equity Research, two of this year’s most anticipated titles, Grand Theft Auto V and the next Call of Duty will account for almost a quarter of all video game sales in the coming fiscal year. Furthermore, the group believes that a full one-third of all game-related revenue made in the next year will come from those two titles alone. At first glance it seems far-fetched, but have you looked at Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call Of Duty: Elite premium subscriptions lately?
The report was originally done to assess Electronic Arts’ chances of being able to successfully compete with those titles and the results weren’t positive. There is no doubt that those two games will both be huge, but do you think they could be that huge?
