More and more rumors are surfacing about the iPhone 5. We really don’t even know if the next iPhone will be called the iPhone 5, but tackling that will only create more rumors. Recently, 9to5Mac was leaked information coming from a source at Foxconn, which stated that the iPhone 5 “has already been seen at Foxconn and is soon going into the normal mass production stages.” With that said, we can safely assume that the iPhone 5 has completed its’ design stages. This report also confirms that the iPhone 5 will have a build similar to that of the iPhone 4.
Additionally, what we absolutely love is the possibility of the iPhone 5 changing the type of metal use on the back of the device. Though most expect aluminum, a lot of reports and users are hoping for liquid metal.
It still looks as though the screen size will increase to around 4 inches with the extension towards the edges. I love the fact that Apple has gone the route of extending the screen to the edges, rather than making the device itself larger. The source from Foxconn could not confirm the actual screen size. However, it was stated that it appeared larger than the iPhone 4.
Sadly, there was no confirmation on whether or not the iPhone 5 would be available in a 64 GB model. Also, no word was given on if we would finally see an iPhone 5 with LTE capabilities and/or NFC.
Expect a lot more leaks as we approach this summer’s launch of the iPhone 5. It seems like so much has come out already, but we are expecting a lot more. With so many expectations and hopes for the iPhone 5, we have to ask this question, Of all the leaks and rumors we’ve heard so far, which one are you most excited about? Let us know!
