It sure looks as if Research In Motion (RIM) is getting all their ducks in a row in anticipation of the release for their much anticipated new operating system. Last night most of you should have gotten a notice that there was a new version of Blackberry Messenger for you to download and install that has a few minor tweaks from what we saw. Then either late yesterday or this morning you should have noticed that a new version of Blackberry Desktop Manager is available, version 6 to be exact.
With the Torch dropping on AT&T tomorrow, its seems that RIM is doing a little housekeeping in anticipation of finally making the long awaited update to their flagship OS available for mass consumption. It’s these two developments that lead us to believe that it won’t be long now before we all get a chance to see what Blackberry OS 6 is really about. As the owner of the original Blackberry Storm, I can tell you that I am more than excited about the possibility of getting an OS for my phone that isn’t so inefficient on memory that it locks up and forces me pull the battery out to get it to restart, or what about those durn JVM 545 errors (happened to me twice).
But that’s just us folks, what do you think? Are you ready for Blackberry OS 6 or what? For this Blackberry owner it can’t come fast enough.
