NBA 2K10 Surpasses The 2 Million Mark In Sales
The hugely popular basketball game NBA 2K10 has recently passed the 2 million sales mark which works out at a huge increase of 60% in sales when compared to last year’s offering, NBA 2K9. This is a fantastic achievement when you consider that it is up against EA’s annual basketball offering NBA Live 10 with EA’s sports franchises traditionally outselling the nearest competitor regardless of the quality of the actual game.

The number of sales achieved is something 2K Sports can really be proud of
The president of 2K, Christoph Hartmann, says that they are “proud of what they have accomplished this year” and that the game is “a fantastic reason to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the franchise”. Kobe Bryant, an 11 time NBA All-Star who currently plays for the LA Lakers (and is the NBA 2K10 cover star) also lavished praise upon 2K Sports and the game itself. ”2K’s tireless attention to detail and dedication to giving fans the most authentic NBA simulation experience possible is what separates them from the competition, and it’s been great to be a part of that”.

The 2K Sports team improved many aspects of the game including presentation
NBA 2K10 really raised the bar with this year’s game with improvements in many key areas such as gameplay, graphics, presentation and the online features all receiving some much needed improvements. However, the mode that arguably gave NBA 2K10 its biggest selling point was the inclusion of the ‘My Player’ career mode which allows players to create their own player and control them throughout their entire career in a similar vein to the ‘Be A Pro’ mode on FIFA Soccer 10.
