Sony in their infinite wisdom has decided that through their goodwill program that anyone who upgrades to a PSPgo will be eligible to receive a bit of compensation for doing so. As far as Europe is concerned, upon giving up the UMD collection that you may or may not have harbored while owning the original PSP, you will have the option to select from three of seventeen Sony first-party titles. Just to name a few of the titles included on the list are:
- Killzone: Liberation
- SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3
- WipEout Pure
Running from October 1 of this year until March 31 of next year in Europe, this system will require users to register for their three freebies via the PlayStation Network. Basically, you place the UMD in the drive of your PSP, log into the PSN and register for your games along with the PSPgo at the same time. Simple, right? While this may seem like a relatively good deal for people with a small amount of games, those gamers who possess a significant amount of titles may disagree. Guess we will have to wait and see how it all plays out.
