Beijing 2008 Review (PS3)…Why Did They Even Try?
Yeah I picked it up. You know this is one of those times that I wish I was the kinda guy that rented games but I don’t because I wll simply forget to return them. Now everyone knows that most Olympic games in the past have been notoriously horrible, but I thought what the heck this is a new day and on the next gen consoles how bad could it be, I mean at the very least it would look good, right??
That turned out not to be the case. Beijing 2008 has finally convinced me that you can not make an Olympic video game that is really any good, it just can’t be done. The game has all the events from this year’s Olympics but most of them fail to be executed with anything even possibly resembling skill or thought. I mean it seems this game was really made for no other purpose than to make a quick buck off the Olympic hype.
Out of all the events I played the only ones that were even somewhat entertaining was the diving events and the floor exercise and that isn’t enough reason for you to go out and plop down your hard earned money on this sad excuse for a next gen title.
I wouldn’t even suggest you rent this game to see if I am right, trust me just take my word. I give Beijing 2008 1.5 out of 5.0 stars.
