Sony has been cheeky as of late, the company might be feeling a bit sour about not getting the sponsor call up for this summers Olympics and has announced, with subtle wording, the June release for the “Limited Edition Metallic Gold Dualshock 3 Controller”, with the tagline “PlayStation 3 fans can really go for gold this June”.
Sony is releasing the controller in excitement for some of the biggest sporting events this year, with PlayStation fans able to get in on the action and feel like champions, be it football, baseball, hockey or curling, basically anything you can win at. Sony’s description of the Dualshock controller on the PlayStation Blog read:
Available this June, going for gold has never been more apt; if it’s scoring a winning hat trick or making poll position, do it in style with the metallic gold Dualshock 3 and feel like a real winner.
The controller will have pressure sensitive buttons that react to each action make every impact feel like you’re right in the game, SIXAXIS motion technology and Bluetooth technology for Wireless gameplay. Basically it does everything your controller at home can do, but a different color. No price for the controller has been set yet, but expect it to range around the same price as basic dualshocks.
