Since the Nintendo Wii U was revealed, information has poured out about the console, from its controller, to what games it will bolster – the list goes on. One major aspect of the console’s success will be the online portion and what it will offer when it eventually hits stores. Lucky for us, the guys over at Nintendo Land have somehow deciphered the pixelated text shown on the side of a Wii U packaging, giving us some juicy online details.
From what was picked up off the Wii U packaging, gamer’s can expect the inclusion of Wii U apps, Wii U webcam chat in real-time and a short mention of Miiverse. The full text from the packaging can be seen below:
Make and share new Mii characters
Easily interact with friends, family and people around the world with Miiverse.
Download add-on content, full games, classic games and applications from Nintendo eShop (all contents sold separately).
Communicate with other Wii U owners in real-time with Wii U Chat.
Online connectivity was always going to be a feature with the Wii U. Gamers wanted the Wii U Chat function feature more than anything else, and it looks like that’s exactly what they will be getting. As for how it will work, we will have to wait until Miiverse is explained more, with the two undoubtedly going hand-in-hand.
The Wii U will launch on November 18 in North America and November 30 in Europe. Make sure to drop us a comment in the section below and hit up or Facebook page for more of today’s gaming news.
