In a quick tidbit Mojang’s Markus Persson a.k.a Notch has officially cancelled a Oculus supported version of Minecraft.
Notch also released a brief statement,
We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus. I just cancelled that deal. Facebook creeps me out.

After dropping that tweet, Notch has posted additional detail on his website providing further detail on why he cancelled the Oculus project. With that being sad news for the PC community it also begs to wonder if a Sony Project Morpheus version or a Microsoft VR initiative supported Minecraft might become available one day. Not all is lost though a mod that is already out allows players to play with the Oculus Rift.
