Nintendo Announces New 3DS XL Bundle

Despite the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One setting all kinds of sales records over the last couple of weeks, only a fool would say that there is a massive choice of AAA games available on either platform at this point. While the PS4 has Killzone: Shadow Fall as its one really quality exclusive, and Xbox One has Forza 5 with Ryse and Dead Rising 3 both fairly average, there is one console out there which has enough quality titles to last you until the next console generation rolls around – the 3DS.

If you have yet the purchase the miniature marvel (and if not, seriously – why not?) then you may just be interested to know that a new bundle has just hit the streets, bundling together a silver colored XL system with an preloaded copy of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.

Starting today on the “Cyber Monday of Luigi,” the limited-edition Nintendo 3DS XL system features artwork of Luigi running with his brother Mario and is now available for purchase. The system comes pre-installed with the Mario & Luigi: Dream Team game at a suggested retail price of $199.99.

This new Nintendo 3DS XL system is just one of several Nintendo bundles recently announced. Other bundles include a Cobalt Blue Nintendo 3DS system that comes with the Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon game pre-installed at a suggested retail price of $169.99, as well as a gold-and-black Nintendo 3DS XL system that comes with a download code for a digital version of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for a suggested retail price of $219.99.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is the well-received fourth game in the fan-favorite Mario & Luigi role-playing series. In the game, players journey into the imaginative dreams of Luigi to help save Pi’illo Island from a mysterious villain. Using the touch screen on the Nintendo 3DS system, players can manipulate a sleeping Luigi to make fantastical things happen in the dream world, such as altering the dream world environment and growing Luigi to gargantuan size.

If you haven’t already bought a 3DS console, will one be filling your stocking this holiday period? Or are you already wiped out by buying a PS4 and/or Xbox One? If you do plan on picking up a new 3DS, which bundle will you be going for? Let us know below.
