Slowly but surely, the PlayStation Vita is picking up a solid gaming catalog. Big name first party games like Killzone: Mercenary and Tearaway are joining HD re-masters of titles like Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 and Final Fantasy X. Perhaps best of all, the Vita is increasingly playing host to a number of console ports, which wouldn’t be possible on another handheld platform. Say hello to Borderlands 2, Dead or Alive 5 and now, Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Armature Studios is in charge of the Vita port of Injustice, and seem to have done a sterling job, retaining the lighting environments and 60fps gameplay of the PS3 version. The handheld iteration also boasts the addition of optional touch controls, and some all new S.T.A.R Labs missions.
This version of Injustice: Gods Among Us will be titled the Ultimate Edition, and in addition to Vita it will be hitting current gen consoles (PS3, Xbox 360 as well as PC) and PlayStation 4 in time for that console’s release. The Ultimate Edition will bundle together all of the available DLC for the original game, with the PS4 version also offering touchpad controls and video sharing.
Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition will launch in North America on November 12th and Europe on November 29th – so far no Xbox One version has been announced. Will you be picking it up for your Vita, or even at launch for your brand new PS4 console? Let us know below.
