Still haven’t been able to log in to Final Fantasy XIV? Well if you still don’t know, you’ll be getting a 7 day extended trial of your initial month as an apology for your troubles. Are you pissed off and want a refund? Don’t be silly. The game is awesome. I don’t know what’s up with gamers lately, they forget things very easily. I can’t think of a single online game that hasn’t run into issues around its launch date, ever. That’s a silly reason to ask for a refund in my opinion. Did you want the game? Did you plan to play it? Why is it so important to play it the very second it launches? Not that I don’t understand wanting to play it right away, but if you want to play a game on its very launch day, you should probably stick to single-player games.
Square Enix is being cool about it but they probably could have been even cooler. Only 7 days of an extension? I suppose that makes sense though as most players can probably log on by now but it would have been better if they were more gracious with their extended time of course. It might help cool the silly heads of the people demanding refunds.
Because login and character creation restrictions have hindered Square Enix’s ability to provide quality service, all Final Fantasy XIV service accounts will receive an additional seven days of free play time starting September 4th. Furthermore, users who have yet to enter their registration codes will receive an additional seven-day trial should they register before 11:59 p.m. (PDT) on September 9, 2013.
