Halo 4: Game Of The Year Edition Confirmed By Microsoft

Halo 4 is getting a Game of the Year Edition this October, Microsoft has confirmed to IGN after they received an image from an unnamed source that appeared to show box art of a GOTY version of Halo 4 along with a list of what content would be included in the final package. According to picture, the contents include Spartan Ops Season 1, a War Games Map Pass, the Halo 4 Champions Bundle and the digital content previously available as pre-order bonuses or in the Halo 4 Limited Edition. It will apparently cost $49.99.

A Microsoft spokesperson eventually confirmed the Halo 4: Game of the Year Edition and give the following statement to IGN:

“A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.”

It is awesome news that Halo 4 will be available in a GOTY Edition and it will be interesting to see what details are revealed during that live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals. We will bring those details as and when we have them.
