So we have already told you that the Vita is getting a price cut, but you are worried what games you would play on the machine if you bought one? Well, aside from the forthcoming big exclusives like Killzone: Mercenary and Tearaway, Sony announced at Gamescom that another big title will be heading to the handheld shortly – Borderlands 2.
Long rumored for the system after Randy Pitchford made it clear a while back that he wanted to make the game, it has finally been confirmed and will be heading to the system next year. Hopefully its announcement will continue the resurgence that the Vita is getting right now, with a string of decent sounding games on the way, coupled with the genuinely impressive remote play feature it shares with PS4.
Adam Fletcher of Gearbox Software said of the announcement; “The PS Vita gives Borderlands 2 fans the ability to play the game anywhere they want, complete with of all the unique benefits of the Vita, and will truly bring the four-player cooperative experience to the palms of your hands. A new era of portable shoot-and-loot awaits! On behalf of Gearbox, 2K, and Sony, we want to thank the passionate fans for helping make Borderlands 2 on the PS Vita a reality, and we look forward to looting bazillions of guns with you guys on the go.”
