In a very surprising turn of events, it may appear as though there is possible confirmation of the existence of Left 4 Dead 3 and the leak has come from the Bellevue-based offices of Valve itself. A Dota 2 player was being given a guided tour of the aforementioned offices as part of The International 3 tournament when they took a quick picture of an internal changelog which appears to list both Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 as current projects at Valve. You can see a close up of the internal changelog below:The photo would appear to be in line with a ‘leak’ that happened earlier in the year involving an internal Valve document that also mentioned Left 4 Dead 3. However neither of these two sources has been officially confirmed so we can’t just presume that L4D3 is definitely coming, although Valve is working on a next-gen game engine so we may see L4D3 (or other titles) appear on that. We now await officially Valve confirmation on this matter.
One game that definitely isn’t there is Half-Life 3 so it looks like the long, long wait for even the confirmation of that title goes on. Maybe it’s being saved for next-gen consoles. Are you looking forward to Left 4 Dead 3 or would rather see Half-Life 3? Please tell us what you think in the comments below.
