That’s an interesting twist. After Batman: Arkham Origins not getting multiplayer on the Wii U due to the fear of a lack of a playerbase, now we have Splinter Cell Blacklist forcing online play. I don’t know about you, but that gave me a good chuckle. In Blacklist you can play co-op, but you won’t be playing it with a friend sitting next to you. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal since most multiplayer is played online anyways, but it is funny.
In order to ship at the same time as the other consoles, we unfortunately weren’t able to delve into this feature. But we think Nintendo gamers will be really excited to get the game at the same time as other consoles.
This is just a little strange to me. I don’t know how many times I’ve read comments or even articles by gamers that say they would rather wait for a game delay, than to not have certain features or mechanics in the game. So this is a pretty bad excuse, at least to make public anyways.
