Sony has confirmed what quite a few people have been speculating for quite some time; that there will be no further DLC for the cross-platform brawler PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale which release in November 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. “There will not be any new DLC characters or environments released for PS All Stars,” wrote Sony Santa Monica’s community strategist on the PlayStation forums. The last DLC released for the game featured Isaac Clarke (Dead Space) and Zeus (God of War) characters along with a MediEvil/The Unfinished Swan stage.
“We were proud to work with SuperBot Entertainment and they created a great game, but the characters that have already been released to-date represent the full content for PS All Stars,” continued the forum post. Support has not completely stopped for the game though and a balance patch is currently in the works, which may be released during the autumn although it is only in the early stages.
In additional news, the costumes of Dante, Raiden, Heihachi and Big Daddy that were originally US pre-order incentives will be released for free on August 27th, with Zeus and Isaac’s third costumes also joining them although they will be released alongside the aforementioned balance patch.
