Matt Thorson, creator of TowerFall, the competitive Ouya-exclusive 2D indie brawler, has announced that the title will be heading to the PC and is going to be a massive update for the game as a whole compared to the Ouya version. He said that the multiplayer port to PC would reportedly take around “a couple of months”, and will cost you about “$15 or $20 if the content justifies it,” so hopefully whatever eventually ends up in the game will be worth your money and not be something put in for the sake of ticking a few boxes.
Thorson told ShackNews a little more about what PC gamers can expect when the title arrives on their platform:
“I’m already testing a bunch of new content for the Versus mode. There’s two new towers, some new powerups, archers, and variants, and a bunch of balance changes.”
“I’m also planning a fully fleshed-out single player mode for players who don’t have friends to play versus mode with. It’s going to be a massive update.”
With the game appearing on PC, the question was raised as to whether the game would make its way onto Mac and Linux and Thorson said that it does “look possible” although he did not explicitly confirm either version as currently being in the works. We’ll let you know if any the game is going to appear on any other platform as soon as we get any information regarding the matter.
