Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer will be done by Splash Damage, the team behind the awesome multiplayer shooter game, Brink, and a really awesome looking upcoming free-to-play title called Dirty Bomb. Brink got a bad rep, I don’t understand why though, it’s the best teamwork focused multiplayer shooter I’ve ever played. Now, they are the team behind the very unique take on a new three-vs.-three-vs.two multiplayer mode in the newest Batman game. Sounds insanely awesome to me!
In Invisible Predator Online, the name for Origins’ multiplayer, you will fight alongside two teammates as a gang member for either Bane or the Joker. Bane and Joker gang members will battle it out while marking their territory in an objective based game mode, while another two online players will be controlling Batman and Robin who are trying to keep the streets clean. Thus, your three-vs.three-vs.-two! On top of that coolness, during the matches you will have a chance to take control of either Bane or Joker with super abilities! I’m curious if there are any other games that have pulled this off. It sounds really cool to me, and I love Splash Damage that much more for it.
The multiplayer modes will be available for all major platforms, which unfortunately excludes the Wii U. EuroGamer reported that Warner Bros. has explained its decision not to include a multiplayer mode in the game’s Wii U version as it had decided to focus its efforts on the platforms with a sizable multiplayer audience. This was backed by Splash Damage themselves on Twitter.
Lots of questions about why Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer is not coming to Wii U. Here's more info on that: http://t.co/tjGnwm8XYa
