New Black Ops 2 DLC Teased By Treyarch

One thing about game production companies is that they love to mess with their fan base to rile folks up for an upcoming release.  Treyarch is no exception to this rule and their marketing machine appears to be in full gear, providing fans some light reading material on their official Facebook Page.  Now Black Ops 2 has been out for awhile and plenty of DLC has dropped since its’ release, however some fans are starting to get restless that more Zombie maps haven’t been provided in recent drops.  That said, I have good news for you and encourage Zombie fans every where to take a look at what Treyarch has posted.

Titled “Letters from the Field”, Treyarch has posted pictures of two hand written letters that are dated September 22, 1917 and October 6, 1917 respectfully.

When we began the site excavation, our group could not have predicted the dark path down which our work would lead us.

The Doctor remains both adamant and optimistic that the potential applications for the new found element are worth the associated risks. I concur with the sentiment, but feel increasingly anxious as to the changes I am seeing in my oldest friend…

The emperor grows concerned that the barbariant drive for mechanig ation may soon yield weapons more deadly than anything the world has ever known.

I am honored to act as his trusted agent and will insure that any such weapons are secured for the benefit of Japan…

If you are keeping up on your Zombie lore and followed some of the statements this should make you very happy.   Many are pontificating already on what these letters mean for sure, but I will leave that to you to decipher and enjoy.  Though to get you started you should do some research on the Doctor and go back to the World at War series as well, as the super weapon is referenced here for the “benefit of Japan.”  Happy hunting.

Either way, this appears to be the beginning of a campaign to launch a new Zombie DLC for Black Ops 2 so keep your eyes open and we’ll bring you the latest when it breaks!

I started gaming when it was nothing more than green screens and clunky keyboards. Today, I play everything and anything that provides for a gaming experience. Good, bad, indifferent, and some times even ugly. I'm here to tell you whats up.
