A large set of cancelled Star Wars games have been revealed in a tell-all book about LucasArts, who we all know were responsible for a staggering amount of Star Wars games over the years. The logos for twenty Star Wars projects appeared in Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts which was published back in 2008 although it is just now that they are coming to light. I’m not quite sure how or why no one ever thought to say anything about these before considering the book is five years old but instead we shall concentrate on some on the logos.
There is one logo that indicates that there was going to be a third game in the Jedi Knight series entitled ‘Brink of Darkness’ but that sadly doesn’t appeared to have gone anywhere. Another logo would suggest that there would have been a tie-in for Episode 7, which of course was unannounced at the time, with the accompanying subtitle of ‘Shadows of the Sith’. You can see the full range of logos here, thanks to AllGamesBeta, and it is interesting to look at the various logos and wonder what could have been.
One game that isn’t in the picture is Star Wars Attack Squadrons that had a number of domains registered bearing its name recently. It will be interesting to see what that eventually holds and whether any of the logos we have see in the book will ever get made.
