Tearaway, the highly anticipated upcoming game from the developer behind the awesome LittleBigPlanet series, will launch in November for the PlayStation Vita system. The precise date is revealed to be November 22nd, which is a little bit further away from the originally scheduled launch date of mid-October. Tearaway is about a messenger on a mission to deliver a unique message to the player and it hopes to utilise all of the consoles features with the touch screens receiving particular attention in gameplay footage.
Media Molecule explained the delay of the game’s release until November in a post on the PlayStation EU Blog:
“We are now in the final stages of development, and have come to the realisation that we need a little more time than we anticipated to finish the game; to tie all of the mechanics, story and amazing visuals together into the adventure that we want you to play.
“To give us that time, we’ve decided to move the release date by one month, from mid-October, to November 22nd.
“We’re really, really sorry for the minor delay, we promise you hand on heart that the wait will be worthwhile! Thanks for being patient, please don’t be too cross with us, lots of love, Mm xxxx”
So it may be slightly later than planned but at least we have a confirmed release date and I for one can’t wait to see what Media Molecule has in store for us with Tearaway.
