Yesterday we brought you the news that Sony had set the details for their Gamescom 2013 conference, now hot on their heels Microsoft has also confirmed the details for their event.
If you want to be the first to find out about some concrete launch details for the Xbox One, and maybe a newly announced game or two, then you will want to be tuned in to Xbox.com on August 20th. No news yet on the time set for the conference, but I would bank on it being set for just after Sony’s event on the same day, so around 2/3pm EST.
In the absence of Don Mattrick, the Xbox event will be hosted by the two Phils; Spencer and Harrison. They said of the event “It will provide the opportunity to get hands-on with a range of Xbox One titles, speak with developers and be the first to hear our Gamescom news.” As it seems unlikely that Microsoft will have much presence at the Tokyo Game Show due to the Xbox One not launching in Asia this year, Gamescom will provide the last big opportunity for Microsoft to show off their new hardware and perhaps make up for past mistakes. Join us on August 20th as we bring you the news from both of the big conferences.
