In an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, game director Ashraf Ismail said there was a heavy focus on improving Assassin’s Creed IV’s stealth system based on player feedback. He says you will be able to play through the entire game completely in stealth if you want.

Asharaf says that AC IV’s stealth system will be more intuitive and has been simplified to provide more understanding on how you get detected, how to escape detection, and how to sneak up on guards. You will also have access to a bunch of new tools that will assist you in your path of the undetected. He also mentioned that enemies will be more distinctive and that you will be able to recognize the difficulty of enemies when you spot them.

Looks like we may finally get an Assassin’s Creed game with some true stealth. We like where the folks at Ubisoft are going but we’ll hold our breath to see if they can actually deliver on a truly stealth experience which until this point they have failed to do. Fingers crossed.
