Warner Bros, along side Korean studio, Inplay Interactive, which is currently developing the game and Aeria Games, announced that F.E.A.R.’s newest chapter will become a F2P (Free To Play) Online Multiplayer FPS. F.E.A.R. Online promises to deliver hardcore multiplayer shooting action while giving players more of an insight as to the dark and ominous story surrounding Alma Wade, who has been the series main antagonist.

This new chapter in the series, delves deeper into the events that surrounded the second F.E.A.R game, Project Origin. Players will dive head first into the story and discover the fate of the F.E.A.R team while relying on each other, in order to stay alive and avoid the wrath of the main antagonist, Alma Wade. The game will also show the struggles between the Armacham Technology Corporation and the elite F.E.A.R. soldiers. Players will battle through several competitive team modes, across ten maps, but will be treated to a fan-favorite from F.E.A.R. 3, Soul King, which challenges players to fight by possessing each other in a battle for supremacy and power. An extensive upgrade system will allow players to keep their weapons and their gear in the best shape possible in order to defeat enemy players, as well as those terrible horrors that lurk in the dark.

The release date for F.E.A.R. Online has not been disclosed yet but you can sign upĀ  for a beta slot on the official website.
