EA has announced today that FIFA 14’s Ultimate Team mode will not be restricted to this gaming generation and you will be able to carry on all of your Ultimate Team rosters, in-game items and in-game currency onto to the next-generation consoles. Any changes made in the widely enjoyed mode will be reflected on both consoles so you can compete with your squads on either. This essentially means that if you start on the Xbox 360, you can continue on the Xbox One and if you start on the PlayStation 3, you can continue your march to the top of the footballing ladder on the PlayStation 4.
EA has also said that there will be a shared common auction market within the copies of FIFA 14: Ultimate Team on the Xbox and PlayStation platforms:
“Within each of the respective platforms (Xbox and PlayStation), FIFA 14 Ultimate Team will share a common auction market so that fans can enjoy a richer and deeper experience with the millions of other players in the Ultimate Team world from the moment the new consoles launch.”
FIFA 14 will release on September 24th in North America and September 27th in Europe on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will apparently launch “later this year”.
