Xbox One Gets Booed During Killer Instinct Fightstick Presentation At EVO 2013 [VIDEO]

When it comes to next generation consoles, who will be the best? Will it be Sony’s PlayStation 4? Or will Microsoft be victorious with the Xbox One? Honestly, I could care less about them because of the ongoing and vicious console wars. But it is because of the console war that this made me giggle and laugh at finding this little video on YouTube.

Earlier this month, EVO 2013, one of the largest gaming fighting tournaments in the country, was set into motion.  With this tourney came many game developers to showcase their new games and accessories.  One of those new games was the remake of Killer Instinct. Onlookers and tourney participants were in awe of the remake of Killer Instinct, developed by Double Helix and not RARE, who originally started the Killer Instinct franchise.  After the demonstration was over, two guys representing Double Helix but also manufacturer Mad Catz, came on stage to show off the new fight stick, made exclusively for the Killer Instinct remake. Seems the guys were very proud and excited to show off the fight stick and looking at it in the video, it was pretty sick.

“Again, Killer Instinct coming out later this year, exclusively on the Xbox One. We have a great partnership with Microsoft…..” and he was suddenly cut off by the sounds of ghosts. You could hear Rich, the guy representing Double Helix, trying to get the ghosts to quit being ghosts. And when I mean ghosts, I mean the sounds of boos coming from angry gamers who were hoping that this kick butt game that even I remember playing when I was younger, was only going to be made for the Xbox One. You can even hear the boos fade in and get louder as the guys try to talk.   The booing lasted for about 30-35 seconds before the guys got back to the talking about the game and the new fight stick.

I find it amusing that because of this big console war thing, whenever a new game comes out and it is made for one system and not the other or both, things get pretty vicious.  The fact that a bunch of angry gamers booed at Double Helix and Mad Catz for partnering with Microsoft to make the fight stick and game is pretty predictable. Especially with how vicious this particular console war between Xbox One and PS4 has become over the months.

Are you excited, ticked, or something else with the news that Killer Instinct the remake is only going to be on the XBOX One?
