200,000 Signatures On Petition For Grand Theft Auto V On PC, That’s All?

This petition begs Rockstar Games to bring Grand Theft Auto V to PC. First off, I think it’s completely unnecessary.  A PC version was inevitable in the case of this game. Don’t get me wrong, I also think it’s a wonderful thing to show your support! Secondly, GTA IV’s PC optimizations are a freakin’ nightmare. Who wants to go through that disaster again? But, of course I’ll go through the troubles for a game I enjoy and GTA V looks incredible. I just can’t help but think it’s funny how people will beg for this, while seemingly forgetting about how much they screamed and shouted over the horrible PC port of IV. Yes, I want GTA V on PC, I still think that’s funny.

It’s a nice number of signatures, but I wouldn’t call it impressive. I’m honestly shocked it hasn’t reached a bare minimum of 500,000 already. But, I do realize people can’t seem to take five to ten seconds out of their time to simply sign up for something. It took five months to gain 60,000 more signatures? That should happen in a week! Maybe it’s because the petition itself isn’t very well written? It’s like reading a note on a refrigerator. Thinking about it that way, I guess it is a pretty impressive number.

Gamespot did report that according to Rockstar Games cofounder Dan Houser, a PC version is “up for consideration”. This comes as no surprise to me.
