Forza 5: “We Could Add Ten Cars A Month”

Forza 5 is the continuation of the high quality Forza racing games and we should expect plenty of DLC for the game when it arrives with the prospect of having multiple cars  released a month (via DLC of course) being a very realistic one indeed. The game director of Forza 5, Dan Greenawalt, spoke to OXM about the flexibility of the game with regards to DLC: “[Forza 5] is so configurable that we can add things at will. We can add ten cars a month, just constantly releasing stuff, and the game will rearrange itself.”

It will be interesting to see whether any of the DLC will be free

One thing a racing game needs is diversity as the lack of it will cause gamers to soon lose interest in it but that is not going to be a concern for Forza 5 as Dan Greenawalt argues the diversity of the game is one of its main strengths:

“We have incredible depth across multiple axes. We have the depth of our garage diversity – we do traditionally have SUVs, cars, trucks, race cars, all sorts.”

“We have the diversity in manufacturers – it’s not like we have 75 of some given manufacturer, we tend to really spread our bed across a lot of manufacturers. And we have a diversity of depth across time, because we do monthly updates of cars, because the car industry is always changing.”

Forza Motorsport 5 will be released on the Xbox One and is expected to be a launch title for the console. It will apparently require a day one update in order to function.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
