Atlus Games has announced that Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, a fresh take on the original entry in the first-person, map-making dungeon crawler series Etrian Odyssey will be available for sale beginning on October 1. The game will sell in stores and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS for $39.99.

Etrian Odyssey Untold returns to the beginnings of the franchise with an engaging Story mode – a first for the series, as well as:

  • New dungeons.
  • The navigation and control conveniences of Etrian Odyssey IV.
  • Graphics that take advantage of the power of the Nintendo 3DS system.

This story-driven first person adventure of the world of Etria welcomes new and old players alike.  In Story mode you will be able to play as five different pre-made characters, each with their own personalities and dialogue to explore a side of Etria not seen in the first game. On top of the new dungeons, players will face new enemies to find out the truth of the Yggdrasil Tree and the mysterious girl, Frederica. There is also a Classic mode that veterans can enjoy.

The game also includes animated opening and story cutscenes by MADHOUSE Inc. and voice-overs for the story and battle scenes, plus the option for orchestrated background music!
