Sony has announced that PLAY, its annual summer program designed to showcase the diverse and creative line-up of the PlayStation Store, returns on July 16th and is available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina. If you decide to pre-order a game then you will get an exclusive XMB theme that will be based on the game that you pre-ordered. PlayStation Plus members will apparently get a 20 percent discount on any of the PLAY games when pre-ordering them.

PLAY 2013 line-up

Not a bad selection of games for you to play this summer

The 2013 PLAY line-up contains two games that are exclusive to PSN, Stealth Inc. A Clone in the Dark and ibb & obb, one that contains the capacity for infinite levels, Cloudberry Kingdom, with the final title being DuckTales: Remastered. There is also a PSN cash voucher in place for those who decided to pre-order two games or more with the amount of the voucher going up depending on how many of the games you pre-order. It goes as follows:

·         Buy any 4 PlayStation Store PLAY games to get $10

·         Buy any 3 PlayStation Store PLAY games to get$6

·         Buy any 2 PlayStation Store PLAY games to get$3

This is a pretty cool offer from Sony and it offers an alternative for Sony’s customer to the Xbox Live Summer of Arcade, which has been running for quite a few years now. Are you going to pre-order any of these games? Please tell us in the comments below.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
