Focus and Frogwares are celebrating the summer with their teaser trailer for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes game!
A big change for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments was the decision to switch from the in-house engine to the Epic Unreal Engine 3. I never played the Sherlock games before, though I did think they looked very nice. This one is definitely gorgeous.
The switch to UE3 didn’t just improve on the graphics. The change also enabled 14 game mechanics to provide new investigation techniques. The focus is to make the player feel like he or she really is Sherlock Holmes which is really no surprise. As Sherlock, you will be able to guess the details of an individual’s life simply by observing them, or reconstruct a past event by studying the key features of a crime scene. That sounds pretty awesome.
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments is for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC later this year.
