Square Enix has announced the pretty cool news that Final Fantasy 10 HD and Final Fantasy 10-2 HD will support cross-saves. What this essentially means is that you will be able to share your saves across the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions of the game, allowing you to pick up where you left off on either version of the game. On the PS3 both games are on the same disc but on PS Vita they are sold separately which is unfortunate but understandable considering the capacity of the blu-ray disc.
The director of Final Fantasy, Yoshinori Kitase, confirmed this news during a presentation in Paris at the Japan Expo. It is also being reported (thanks to Gematsu via Jump magazine) that these HD remakes will contain a new 30-minute ending scene which has been written by Kazushige Nojima whose has previously worked on Final Fantasy 7, 8, 10, 10-2, Crisis Core in addition to many others.
