Jagex has announced the release date for their third installment of the Runescape games. Runescape 3 makes its transition into a more simplified browser-based gaming category next month, on July 22nd. Using HTML 5 it will be playable without any other plugins, nor will it require Java.
Jagex boss Mark Gerhard is very enthusiastic about the game, insisting that they “will have a solid line up of the most ambitious innovative content and ground breaking technical innovations ever”. It seems to me that he can’t wait to show the community what they have.
Of course the game will have improved graphics, and a promise of an upgraded camera system. Jagex claims that they will bring us “the most significant update in the game’s history”. Sounds great to me!
