State Of Decay Update #2 Freezing Some Consoles

Newly released zombie XBLA game State of Decay is having some issues according to the developer Undead Labs who have issued a warning explaining that the second update for the game is freezing some Xbox 360 consoles. In order to try to resolve the problem, Undead Labs has asked players to send in copies of their save files in order to help them identify and solve the mystery problem.

State of Decay - 1

As you do…

The studio responded to the concerns from players via Twitter which you can read below:

Undead Labs went into further detail about the matter on their forum:

“What I need is… the exact model number and manufacturing date of your Xbox. How much space remaining on your hard drive and internal memory unit. This is not easy to track down. There is nothing consistent in the reports and other than the game crashing it appears to just happen at random.

“To find what is causing this, we need to find the common element. I’ve been reading this post, pulling my hair out and contacting MS. I would recommend you do the same in addition to helping me out with information on what console your running on. If this is something we can fix, we would love to.”

Hopefully Undead Labs will be able to fix it (providing it is their problem to begin with) and everything will go back to normal although the trend of updates causing consoles to crash is happening a bit too often for comfort. If you have had a problem with this update please tell us in the comments below.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
