Come On, Share It

All the way back at E3 Microsoft announced that Xbox Live Gold members would be getting some free games starting in July in a similar way to PlayStation Plus. The two headline grabbing games announced at E3 were Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed 2, which were said to be available for free when the promotion eventually went live. Well the promotion is now up and the first game available for free is the arcade game Defense Grid: The Awakening, and is available until July 16th according to Major Nelson.

The promotion will only last until the Xbox One is released

Despite this news there is still no more new information about when Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed 2 will become available to Xbox Live Gold members for free. All the information available about the two titles at the moment simply state that they are part of the deal and will be available in July but there is no concrete time frame for when we can expect them to become part of the promotion. At the time of writing, the game will still cost you if you try to download it.

The ‘Games With Gold’ promotion is set to last up until the release of the Xbox One which is scheduled to launch some time in November.

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
