Bad news for everyone looking forward to Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time as PopCap announced yesterday that the release date has been changed. It is was due to drop in less than three weeks but it will now make an appearance “later in the summer”, according to a tweet from PopCap. “We’re sorry for the delay, but want to make sure the game lives up to fans’ expectations,” explained PopCap. “Stay tuned for more details.”
Plants vs. Zombies 2: It’s About Time will feature a new art style along with what is being described as “all-new touch-screen power-ups that enable players to ‘break the fourth wall’” which essentially means that you kill zombies directly using the touchscreen by poking at them. The game will also no longer be in an urban setting and you will time travel which will see you meeting pirates, visiting Ancient Egypt and surviving the Wild West.
We will have more information about the release date when it becomes available but this isn’t the only upcoming Plants vs. Zombies game. A brand new Plants vs. Zombies game for consoles was announced by EA at E3 this year for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
