DayZ Standalone Has Release Window But Creator Not Sharing Just Yet

The standalone version of DayZ has a release window all but confirmed although creator Dean Hall did not want to share that information with gamers just yet because certain structures and other little things need to be put in place before they can commit to anything. The original DayZ was a mod for ARMA 2 and received widespread acclaim in the media and even won a few awards along the way so a standalone release seemed like a logical way to go.

The original mod has proved to be very popular amongst the PC gaming community

Speaking at PC and indie expo Rezzed at the weekend, Hall said:

“I guess the big question that a lot of people have is when we’re actually going to get this out. We’ve set a date now – a window of about a week. We’re not going to say when that is, because we were originally going to release them in 50,000 key increments but we decided to do everything altogether.”

Hopefully we will learn of a proper date soon as this is a highly anticipated game which will hopefully reach the same heights of the original mod but in the mean time, have a look at DayZ in a developer session at Rezzed below:

I'm a big gaming fan who has been playing games since ever since Pokemon Yellow was released in the year 2000. I'm just glad that there are decent rugby games on the PS3 now after years of nothing. I need another Uncharted game...NOW!!!!!
