During its E3 press conference, Sony laid out its plans for providing movies, television shows, and music to gamers in a similar way to Microsoft in their E3 conference. However it is worth noting that Sony spent far less time on this than Microsoft did which may or may not have been as a result of some the criticism of the Xbox One reveal which seemed to focus a bit too much on the non-gaming side of things for the fans liking.
First up, Sony is going to be taking advantage of Sony Pictures and Sony Music that will see original programming created for the PlayStation 4. In addition to this info, the Video Unlimited service will deliver over 150,000 movies and TV shows upon launch, with the Music Unlimited service having over 20 million songs available. Last but equally important is the news that Flixter and Redbox streaming services will also be added to PlayStation 3 in the near future.
