In what may have been the deathstroke of this next-gen console war, Sony confirmed that they won’t put any restrictions on used games. On PS4 you will be able to sell, trade, lend, and rent video games in any way you see fit. As if that wasn’t enough, they also confirmed that you don’t need to be connected to the Internet to play games, you won’t have to check in every 24 hours like Xbox One, there’s no kind of DRM built into the system and you won’t need the Internet to use the system. If you are a purely offline player, then the PS4 lets you do that.
I’ve never seen such a thorough destruction of the opposition at E3 in all the time I’ve been following it. If Microsoft doesn’t do some serious backtracking, I don’t know how they will compete this generation. Hit up the comments and let us know what you think of Sony’s decision.
