For anyone who was a part of the class action lawsuit against Apple for the antenna issues known as “Antennagate” with the iPhone 4, your check has either made it to you already or it’s on the way. The claim, which some have probably forgotten about, was finally settled last February (2012), and will award eligible claimants $15. TUAW reports that the lawsuit was for Apple “misrepresenting and concealing material information in the marketing, advertising, sale and servicing of its iPhone 4 — particularly as it relates to the quality of the mobile phone antenna and reception and related software.”
In case you forgot, the iPhone 4 was released in 2010, and while the lawsuit took a while to settle, the time claimants have to cash in on it comes much quicker. According to the report, claimants only have until July 16th. And for those who forgot to file a claim or are just finding out about the lawsuit … yep … you guessed it – there’s no chance!
