Despite general retail doom and gloom, most PS Vita owners remain happy with their purchase, and the steady stream of new titles and PS Plus incentives means that many still find it filling up a lot of their spare time. There still remains the problem of a killer-app for the system though, working in a similar way to Mario Kart 7 or Super Mario Land 3D for the 3DS. Later this year however, the Vita will play host to two games who desperately want to win that title; Killzone: Mercenary and Tearaway.
That latter game now has a release date and some lovely reversible box art to get us very excited about the adventures of Iota and Atoi, and their mission to deliver a secret message. Tearaway promises to use all of the technology inside the Vita to create a world that you can touch and manipulate like never before. Yes, I know we have heard that promise before, but if anyone can deliver on the promise it is Media Molecule – the brains behind Little Big Planet.
October 22nd is the date that lucky US Vita owners can look forward to, while European gamers will be receiving the game a scant three days later. As you can see, the box art represents your chosen choice of male or female….. envelope… thing. Lovely isn’t it? Which will you pick?
