The Invizimals Return For PS3 And Vita – Trailer

Share And Comment

Any of our fine readers remember the Invizimals games for PSP? No? Thought not – they didn’t exactly set the world on fire when they were launched from 2009 to 2011, and they needed the PSP camera add-on to work, which automatically reduced the amount of people able to play it (although the first one was bundled with the camera). It may come as a surprise therefore that Sony Europe’s XDEV studios has announced two new games in the series for PS3 and Vita. Guess what though – the PS Vita has a built-in camera and some nifty little AR cards, so it is the ideal home for a new version of the game. Right?

Invizimals

As you might expect therefore, the Vita game called Invizimals: The Alliance, will focus on augmented reality as a way to interact with the titular creatures in the real world. Like the PSP game, your task is to locate and train your Invizimals to take on all-comers, in a kind of mixture between Pokemon and Skylanders.

The PS3 game, called The Lost Kingdom, is an all-together different affair. It’s focus is on a single player adventure, and allows you to play as various Invizimals for the first time.

The games will support cross-play as well, so young Invizimals fans have no excuse not to get both. Check out the trailer for both titles below and let us know what you think!
