It appears that the premiere trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has leaked and with it several as yet unannounced details about the game including the main protagonist and the game’s release date. The trailer has since been pulled from YouTube but we managed to get our hands on it and it will be available as long as we can keep it up. The trailer revealed that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released on October 29th for all current generation consoles as well as next general consoles, with an S, meaning well you know, the next Xbox.

Tip: Check out the leaked first screenshots from Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag here.

The trailer shows the infamous pirate Blackbeard telling quite a tall tale about a new pirate captain who he refers to as “the devil dressed like a man”. That man’s name and the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is Edward Kenway and he is apparently quite a beast. While the trailer doesn’t contain any actual gameplay it does show that this assassin will blur the line between right and wrong much more than any of his previous counterparts. The trailer shows Kenway diving to explore what look like shipwrecks, parlaying with the ladies and basically pillaging and plundering. After all that though, he pulls up his hood and goes all Assassin on bad guys, I think I’m going to love this. I personally didn’t care for the naval battles from AC III that much but if that gets me some of this action then its a price I’m willing to pay.

Check out the trailer below and hit up the comments and let us know what you think.

Updated: We’ve gotten a slightly better version of yesterday’s trailer which was already really good.
