During the PS4 reveal last week, Blizzard shocked the internet when they revealed that Diablo III is coming to PS3 and PS4. As if that wasn’t enough, they have now revealed the PS3 and PS4 versions of the game will NOT require a continuous connection to the internet for local multiplayer. The game will still allow for online co-op and local co-op.
The game’s production director John Hight revealed that you can have 4 players on-screen at once without split screen, explaining that they just zoom the camera out. Hight also talked about a new evasion ability that players can use to dodge, there’s no longer any need to click to move either. With the ease of an analog stick, movement will be smoother, which heightens the action.
Diablo III for PlayStation will be playable at PAX East so if you are in the area, make sure you go and get some hands on.
