It certainly seems that the next generation of gaming is becoming more and more a reality, and the next few days should see an explosion of new information. Not only do we have what is more than likely to be the announcement of PS4 on the 20th, but now Bungie has told us that the 17th will see the first official unveiling of their new IP, Destiny.
First discussed as part of the Activision law suit, we know that the title is (or certainly was) the first part of a multiple release series which will span current and next-gen consoles, with the first game being a timed exclusive for Microsoft and a likely launch title for Xbox 720/Infinity/8/Just plain Xbox, whatever they call it.
Bungie specifically set up a Twitter account for their upcoming game to release the following message:
You can be the first to see the reveal of #Destiny right here on Feb. 17 (T-Minus 5 days).

It does make you wonder about the timing of the release though, just a few days before Sony’s big announcement to the world. Assuming it isn’t just the current-gen version of Destiny that will be shown then we could conceivably be seeing our first look at a proper game for the next Xbox. Unless of course we just see a short concept video or teaser trailer, which would be rubbish. Keep it locked here guys for the latest info as we get it.
