Although it was never as popular in the US as it was here in Blighty, the Commodore Amiga was a gaming powerhouse of the early 90’s. Home to many classic games like The Chaos Engine, The Secret of Monkey Island and Stunt Car Racer, one of the most prolific developers for the machine was Team 17.

Team 17 has recently started releasing their classic games in wonderful HD on modern consoles, with the fantastic Alien Breed being a recent example. Their next hit of yesteryear to be revamped will be Superfrog, which was originally released on the Amiga back in 1993.

Superfrog HD will feature all-new graphics and a redesigned lead character who can be seen above. The core gameplay will remain the same as that which enthralled many Amiga owners back in the day however.

No release details as yet, but you can expect Superfrog HD to hit both the PS3 and Vita very soon via PSN download.
